Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of FLOCKYOU. The Service is an informational civic-awareness tool—not an emergency service, surveillance detector, or guarantee of a camera-free route.

Effective July 29, 2026

Plain-language policy

These terms are written to be readable. Section headings are a guide; the full text controls.

1. Acceptance

By downloading, accessing, or using the FLOCKYOU mobile application, website, or backend services (together, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are not old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms for you.

Drive first

Do not interact with the Service while driving. Follow traffic laws, posted signs, emergency instructions, and lawful directions. Never trespass, stop unsafely, interfere with equipment, confront another person, or use FLOCKYOU to facilitate unlawful conduct.

2. What FLOCKYOU provides

FLOCKYOU displays publicly reported ALPR locations, supported official public traffic-camera views, proximity information, and route comparisons based on reported-camera exposure. The Service may also allow moderated community reports, optional accounts, proximity alerts, Premium turn-by-turn navigation, and offline packs.

FLOCKYOU does not detect whether a camera is present, operating, pointed in a particular direction, recording, or owned by a particular operator. It does not identify every camera, promise complete coverage, or guarantee a camera-free or lower-risk route. Public data may be missing, stale, duplicated, mislabeled, or geographically imprecise.

3. Not an emergency or navigation-safety service

The Service is provided for general information. It is not an emergency, dispatch, legal-advice, law-enforcement, or safety service. Route information can change because of traffic, closures, weather, provider errors, or other conditions. Use your judgment and a dedicated navigation service where appropriate. In an emergency, contact the appropriate emergency service.

4. Permissions and privacy

Some features require location, notification, background-location, or network access. You choose whether to grant those permissions, though declining a permission may disable the related feature. Our Privacy Policy explains how the Service handles information and is incorporated into these Terms.

5. Accounts and security

Some features may require an account. You are responsible for keeping your password, recovery code, and device secure and for activity under your account. Do not share credentials or attempt to access another person’s account. Notify us through the current app-store support channel if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, creates security risk, abuses the report system, or exposes us or others to legal harm.

6. Community reports

You may submit only reports you reasonably believe are accurate and lawful. Do not submit personal information, faces, license-plate numbers, accusations about individuals, threats, spam, copyrighted material you cannot share, or content intended to harass or deceive. Reports are reviewed and do not alter the public map automatically.

You retain rights you have in report content. You grant FLOCKYOU a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, review, adapt for formatting or safety, and display the report as needed to operate and improve the public camera catalog. This license ends when the content is deleted from the Service, except for de-identified source history, backups, legal retention, and content already incorporated into a moderated public record where continued retention is reasonably necessary for integrity and attribution.

7. Subscriptions and purchases

FLOCKYOU may offer automatically renewing subscriptions and a non-renewing lifetime purchase for premium features such as camera-aware turn-by-turn navigation and offline coverage packs. Route comparison may be available without a purchase. The purchase screen shows the available term, localized price, included features, renewal status, and trial terms, if any, before you confirm.

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google under that store’s terms. Unless canceled through your store account before renewal, an auto-renewing subscription renews for the selected period and the store charges your payment method. You can manage or cancel in your app-store subscription settings. Deleting the app or your FLOCKYOU account does not automatically cancel a store subscription. Refunds, billing disputes, and payment timing are governed by the applicable store policy and law.

Lifetime access is a one-time, non-consumable purchase. It does not renew or expire, and it can be restored through the store account that completed the purchase.

Premium features do not improve source accuracy, guarantee complete coverage, or change the safety and data-completeness warnings.

8. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • use the Service for an unlawful, harmful, or deceptive purpose;
  • threaten, harass, stalk, target, or expose the location of another person;
  • damage, disable, overload, scrape, probe, reverse engineer, or bypass security or rate limits except where law expressly permits;
  • submit false reports or manipulate source confidence;
  • interfere with cameras, infrastructure, private property, or public operations; or
  • copy, resell, or redistribute the Service or third-party datasets in violation of applicable licenses.

9. Intellectual property and source licenses

The Service, including its software, design, and FLOCKYOU branding, is owned by FLOCKYOU or its licensors and protected by applicable law. These Terms give you a limited, personal, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to use the Service as intended.

Reported camera data may include information from OpenStreetMap contributors. OpenStreetMap data is available under the Open Data Commons Open Database License. Map information, public-agency camera information, and other third-party materials remain subject to their applicable attribution and license terms.

Flock Safety and related names or marks belong to their respective owners. FLOCKYOU is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Flock Safety.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party mapping, routing, public-data, hosting, app-store, and subscription services. Their terms and privacy policies may apply when you use their services or open their pages. We are not responsible for third-party services, content, availability, or decisions.

11. Changes and availability

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, sources, or the Service. We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” FLOCKYOU DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, AND QUIET ENJOYMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE OR ITS DATA WILL BE COMPLETE, CURRENT, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR AVAILABLE WITHOUT INTERRUPTION.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so part of this section may not apply to you.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FLOCKYOU AND ITS CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, LOST PROFITS, PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR DECISIONS MADE IN RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FLOCKYOU’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FLOCKYOU FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE SIX MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US$50. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the mandatory law of your place of residence applies. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer rights.

15. General terms

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of the Service. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about the Service unless separate written terms apply.

16. Contact

Questions about these Terms may be started from the FLOCKYOU support page or submitted through the support contact on FLOCKYOU’s current App Store or Google Play listing. Before public store release, testers may also use the support channel included with their test invitation.
